Mistakes.

Life is like a boat going out to sea to sink and never come back. You set off to have the journey of your life, literally. Sometimes you get caught in a storm and your boat gets damaged. Sometimes you swim away from that boat, but you always find a way to come back to it. Sometimes the waves can push you off track, but you just have to work even harder to get back on track. Maybe you make a mistake and go the wrong direction and get lost. Maybe you anchor your boat, and it will stay steady for a while. Or maybe your boat will completely tip over and it can seem impossible to keep going, but you must. You can venture away from your boat, you might get lost on your way back, but you will always find your way home, back to your boat. Eventually your boat can't take anymore, and neither can you. Eventually your boat will sink, and you will too.  My Uncle read something along these lines at his brother, my other Uncle, 's funeral 7 months ago and it really stuck to me. I've spent all morning trying to find the exact text, but couldn't, so I put it in the words that I could remember. "All things must come to an end sometime." That seems to be the quote of the week. A lot of good things have ended badly in the past couple of days, but for me, that means a lot of good things can start from those bad endings, it's just about the attitude and the way you look at things. If you keep a positive attitude, it could make all the difference. Granted there are things that you must dwell on, you must grieve to move on, you must cry to become stronger, you must get beaten down to rise up higher. Mistakes are inevitable, and they happen all the time. We sometimes purposefully make mistakes, or accidentally make mistakes. We do things we know are wrong, and hope not to get caught. We do things we know are wrong, and confess to them because soon enough, it kills us inside. Mistakes happen, some are forgivable, others are not. But be careful, one mistake could sink your boat. To me, begging for forgiveness is better than asking for permission.

Youth is the time to make mistakes, so let's make better mistakes tomorrow.
Don't regret the past, just learn from it.

And with that, let me ask you this,
What's really worth living?
